Accessibility

Do you need an ASL interpreter? (required)
Are you bringing a service animal to ACF? (required)

Under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), a service animal is a dog that has been individually trained to do work or perform tasks for a person with a disability.

Do you have a disability? (required)
Have you ever served in the military or armed forces of any country? (required)

Volunteer Application

- Core Volunteers: our primary open role, supporting general festival operations - Kitchen Crew: prepares and serves meals - Transportation: shuttles climbers and gear - Med Crew, Safety Team, and Media Crew: typically by invitation or credential; select if either applies and we'll follow up - ACF Director Team and Vendors: you know who you are - Select Other if your role isn't listed

Physical capacity for role matching (required)

We have roles across the physical spectrum - from hauling gear to cutting onions. Check what's true for you and we'll handle the rest. No box disqualifies you; this is about getting the right people in the right roles.

We work best with full-festival volunteers, but we get it - life happens. If you can't do all four days, the two most useful partial commitments are: - setup crew (arrive Wed, all-day Thu–Sat, depart Sun) - breakdown crew (arrive Thu, all-day Fri–Sun, depart Mon). Partial availability outside those windows is harder to schedule but select what's true and we'll be in touch.

Training is a single 1.5–2 hour interactive Zoom session. We offer three time slots to choose from in the weeks leading up to the festival; details will be sent if your application is accepted.

Agreements

I understand that ACF is a place where I need to wear a helmet while in and around climbing areas. Refusing to wear a helmet in climbing areas and clinics at ACF may result in my removal from climbing activities at the Festival.

ACF climbing areas and clinics are reserved for registered paraclimbers only. I understand that plus ones, caregivers, and volunteers are not permitted to climb in ACF areas or clinics due to limited space. If I would like to climb with family or friends, I will use areas outside the festival's reserved space.

I understand that my pet dog, emotional support animal, or any other non-trained service animal that I may have is not allowed to come climb with us at Muir Valley.
